A set of letters and numbers to play with.
I couldn't find one I liked, so I made one.
The included OpenSCAD file can be customized for different sizes, heights, and bevel depths.
The source file is included. I took some inspiration from another project (a name tag) that I wasn't able to find again. The code has been rewritten from scratch, as I used it to learn OpenSCAD language.
Overview and Background
Alphabet and Numbers
I printend a bunch of these items to help kids take confidence with a physical form of alphabet and numbers.
I printed letters in one color and numbers in another to avoid confusion, as I noticed that for when they begin it's difficult to discriminate I and 1, O and 0, B and 8, S and 5, Z and 2. Printing them in different color gave my kids more confidence.
Lesson Plan and Activity
Games I play with my kids
Compose their name
Recognize the letters
Write numbers (we take inspiration from everyday's life, e.g. the bus they take in the morning, the number of plushes they have, the price of a toy, and so on...)
No additional materials are needed. Just some creativity.
