Since I don't like the original carrier plate of the workbee CNC machine, I made a enclosure for the Duet 2 Ethernet Controller. I was a bit inspired by this thing (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3342196) when I designed it.
With the enclosure, the controller is cooled much more efficiently and also gets less dusty.
Only one of the two supplied fans is needed for the case. The second fan used here is a 40x40mm type.
What you need:
- 3D printed parts
- five 2,9 x 10mm tapping screws (four to fix the controller, one for the case cover)
- five 2,9 x 13 (or 16)mm tapping screws for the cover
- four M3 x 16mm screws and nuts (included in original set) for the 40mm fan
- four matching screws to mount the 30mm fan, but not longer than 10mm.
The enclosure is attached to the CNC frame like the original mounting plate.
The outer dimensions of the case are: 160 x 125 x 48 mm.
I have added a case for the Duet 2 Wifi. I can't verify the model because I don't own this controller, but it should fit.
