This is my version of a direct drive setup for the CR10, CR10S, CR10S4 and CR10S5 using a BMG extruder and E3D V6 hotend. I designed this with the intention of the BMG extruder being coupled directly to the E3D V6 hotend without a piece of PTFE bridging the gap. I also wanted a setup that allowed easy access to the BMG extruder and kept a minimal footprint.
This is not designed to work with the stock hotend or a Micro Swiss style hotend.This design also uses the stock cooling fan found on the E3D V6 to keep the overall profile small.
The part cooling fan comes in 2 styles. One is designed to fit a 3mm x 5.5mm knurled nut insert. The other uses a nut pocket for a 3mm hex nut. The part cooling fan fits a 5015 blower and shares 1 mounting screw with the BMG extruder. The part cooling fan is just a basic design for testing out the mount. Expect future design revisions to the fan duct.
The mounting plate supports a 18mm inductive probe. Probe is held in place by a single 3mm set screw. Mounting plate attaches to the stock X Gantry with 2 3mm x 10mm screws.
Overall the mount is very sturdy and the part cooling fan mount matches the corner contour of the BMG extruder to keep it from moving while only being single point mounted.
The mounting plate will fit a pancake stepper motor and the larger stock extruder stepper motor.
Future Designs to include wire management, fan duct for volcano hotend, and upgraded part cooling duct.

Part Cooling fan duct can be printed upright as installed or angled to form a "V" no supports required either way. Angled has a shorter print time
