Can you tell me how long the whole thing is when it is hanging?

Sorry I don't use this mount anymore so can't measure. The smaller base version shouldn't be much longer than just the rift itself though

Hey, I was working on a design very similar to this and I would just like to say...

To your comment in the description "This works fine but i decided to swap so i don't have to carefully aim the Rift onto the mount"

If you add a "Nose Feature" to this model like Lensfort's wall mount, it would facilitate hanging the headset as an alignment feature to key off of so you don't need to "aim" while hanging.

If you did this I would argue this design would be superior because it stays clear of the lenses. The Lensfort design is too close to the lenses for comfort for me. All it would take is one bad hang/alignment to put a nice scratch in the lens.

Also, I would just change the mounting holes to one above the nose, and one below. If someone was to mount this to the wall, you'd want the mounting points vertically oriented from each other to stay in the center plane of a wall stud.

Thanks for the input. I don't plan on making any more amendments to this but you are welcome to use mine as a base for your own design if you would find it useful.

The nose feature you mention I don't think would help if you completely undershoot and place the lenses directly on the hooks. Unlikely but still a worry if you drop it while unhooking or something.

Another thing is the hook goes between the headstrap and the headset , if it's adjusted so the lenses are at the closest distance it will be tight and may need loosening before being hooked on. So it's not without its flaws
