I looked at the design and was thinking to go for the 60mm fan. Amazon.com sells fans with 3 different thickness 10mm, 15mm or 20mm.

Here are my questions:

  1. Which thickness should I choose?
  2. Is the case tall enough to fit both the heatsink and the fan together?

Hello, I run the fan on top of the case. There's legs and supports inside that prevent the 60mm from going in. The 30 and 40mm fans fit inside it seems though I never designed it that way. I use 10mm thick fans.

Does the 50mm fan fit inside the case? I would like to have both the heatsink and fan installed inside.

That's going to depend on your heatsink, You can get thinner 30mm fans, otherwise I really dont know, never tried and I use 12mm tall heatsinks, taller than most.

What size/type of screws will I need to hold this together?

Thanks!!!

M2.5 to M3 plastite, self threading or any course "Wood" type thread. #6 screws should work too.

I dropped you $45 for a pi 4, if you can find one. I'm in the US and had to order my Pi 4 from the UK. Might have to wait another week or two for local availability. I'd appriciate letting me know when you adjust the hdmi and audio port, if you got a chance.

Love the design! Looking forward to using it!

Oh thank you!

I did adjust and re-upload the other day, made the ports a little larger, moved them slightly and I made the wall thinner along the pors from 1.4mm to .8mm so the cables can plug in easier.

I'm going to order one from RS components and it says it will ship by the end of July.

awesome, I'll give it a try. Thanks!!

You're welcome and please let me know if it needs more adjustment!

perfect!!! only question for me is how this attaches to the 2020 rails :)

thanks for the great work on this!!!

With the same bolts you attach rails to each other with!

Can you show a picture where it is attached to the 2020 frame?

you use the two giant holes and put your bolts through those holes and your T nuts on the other side that slide into the open slots on any 20mm rail. This will also fit on 1" 8020. Have you ever used extruded rails? This is how they all work

You can see real life examples of my 2020 RAMPS Mount, the 2020 to 8mm anet style frame adapter, the 2020 Bowden Inlet, the 2020 Quad Mosfet Mount and the 2020 MOSFET Mount.

One day soon I will finish that project and add pictures of the rest.... One day.

Great thanks, I figured it would use the T nut but just wanted to make sure, the other Pi Case I have for my 2020 actually slid in the slot on the rail so I just wanted to make sure I was installing correctly :) Thanks again for a great pi case!!!
