This look awesome! Question though - what are you doing for the HD? Is it somehow mounted above the board somehow?

Hello sprucegum!

Awsome project, can you link the specific motherboard you have used for the build? i am thinking about making this project for my daugther, but i need some information about motherboard so i dont get a non compatible for the project -.-

It's the ASROCK AB350 Gaming-ITX . It's a little dated at the moment but it's a good board!

Amazing!
Have you found a way to join the two parts of the chassis?
What are the temps with this open air chassis?

I still haven't found a nice way to join the halves. I have a few ideas but haven't settled on a design that satisfies me. The temps are pretty good. The CPU is sitting at 40C right now under medium load. When I'm gaming I've seen it get up near 70C though.

I've been thinking of adding a 3rd piece on the bottom with some legs to lift the case, a small fan to push air up past the power supply and RAM, and to hold the two halves together.

Thanks for the reply!
What about an unversal version of this chassis with I/O shield support?

I/O shield support would make the case significantly thicker. On the plus side maybe then it would have enough space for a 2.5" SSD/HD or more fans.
