A big THANK YOU to MosaicManufacturing (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3571062) for the owl files. Also to 3DCentralVA (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1992072) for the use of the maze tube. I printed everything in PLA. The owl was a large jar. in Meshmixer I added the head to the body and created a hole in the head for the tube that will hold the maze. I shrank it to 67%.
A money reward slips nicely inside the bottom of the maze so the graduate has to remove the cap by working out the maze to get to the treasure. You can access my Tinkercad file for the mortarboard (graduation cap) where you can change the text to suit your graduate. https://www.tinkercad.com/things/gSMjU8J9LoJ
Hope you enjoy making it and hope your graduate enjoys receiving it!

The smaller Owl Parts were sliced at 67% in Cura.
You may want to print the mortarboard separate from the maze tube and then glue them together. Since the mortarboard needs supports it will take less if printed separately from the tube. (I prefer tree supports because they are easier and cleaner to remove.) The owl doesn't need supports. I used a raft for most parts.
After printing, I painted the text on the mortarboard to provide contrast. Glue the tube that will hold the maze into the owl's head. I kept the inside bump toward the front of the owl. I then worked the maze tube down in place so I could glue the mortarboard on top of it in the position I wanted it. Glue all the small parts onto the owl. I used Crazy Glue. I made the tassel out of black crochet cotton and added in a little white glue just as a stiffener on the cord part.
