A little silicone spray makes the knife slide like butter!

I love this knife. It makes a great gift to both women and men. I got the best results by leaving the knife part alone and upping the scale on the body part to 102.5%.

good design but it fits so tightly it just won't deploy at all. Please take tolerances into account when designing a sliding mechanism

I've printed a dozen or so with no fitment issues. Additionally, clearance is modeled into the file, usually .005" in interacting mechanisms. Did you print with the recommended settings? if so, my guess is that you're over extruding, or your printer simply isn't accurate enough. Maybe you could scale down the slide by 1-2%, or use sandpaper to hand fit.

Scaling down the slide made the fit on my blades too tight. I left that alone and upped the body to 102.5%. Worked great on my CR-10S and my Ender 3's I have probably already printed 25 of them.

Good feedback! I also noticed that certain filament, notably those with a higher shrinkage rate, will tend to interfere. PETG with chopped Carbon Fiber worked very well.

I've printed several of these and mine fit without issue. I imagine print/slicer settings would affect this as much as the model.

Very good desing, i like it!
