I had issues with this in S3D with non-manifold segments. Ran it through the Microsoft STL repair tool and it all turned out ok though. I'm going to take a crack at printing the 1:600 at 200% (so 1:300) just for something cool and paint it up as the Aubrey-Maturin HMS Surprise.

Hi, thanks for letting me know about your issues. I'll have a look with meshmixer and the Microsoft STL tool and see about making sure they are good to print straight out.
I hope the 1:300 version prints out ok - it would be great to see photos of it if you do! The only thing to be aware of is that I made the stern windows smaller (width and depth wise) and the wales (tops of the sides of the hull) much thicker so it would print out at upto 1:1200 scale ok. For realism they might need thinning out again and the windows making wider. Maybe at some point I'll go back to the pre-simplified model and post it up as an accurate version :)

Hi Tickle

Another great model, lovely lines again. Can't wait for the 1/1200 with the mast holes.

I did this one on my Ender 3 Pro and used a pin vice to make the holes for the masts and bowsprit.

Thanks :)
I'm still impressed you can get them printing on an FDM at 1:1200 - looks great. Looking at this the chainplate boards need thickening a little more at this scale. Wonder if a 0.2 nozzle would help?

The next version may be a variation with basic cannons on the visible deck parts and possibly a version with the boats slung in the middle.

Just about to start the intrepid-class 64 gun next. Will probably do a razee version too ;)

A 64 gunner, awesome. A 0.2 nozzle may help, but I just printed out a church in 1/1200 and you can see the stained glass window on the front. I frankly shocked by how good the prints coming off the Ender 3 are.
