I created this adapter housing/mount, in order to easily turn on/off the wireless module for the Xbox wireless controller.
I have printed, tried and tested mine, and I think that it fulfills the job quite well.
Future revisions might be made, depending on amount of downloads, and any recommendations.
Print the part vertically with the largest hole opening facing downwards. By setting the supports to Grid,5%,Touching Buildplate, you will then be able to easily remove the entirety of the inner supports with ease thanks to the vertical-print setup.
Supports: On/Touching Build-plate
Percentage Infill: 5-15%
Infill Type: Grid (Use this specifically, in order to ensure easier removal)
(THESE WILL VARY DEPENDING ON YOUR PRINTER CAPABILITIES)
In order to properly use the adapter mount, the USB extension cable which is provided with the XBOX wireless controller can be inserted through the small lengthwise notch that runs through the spine of the mount.
ENSURE THAT THE FEMALE USB CONNECTOR RESIDES WITHIN THE PRINT AND NOT THE MALE CONNECTOR. ALSO ENSURE THAT WHEN THE ADAPTER IS LATER ON INSERTED, THE WHITE LED LIGHT SHINES TOWARDS YOU, DEPENDING ON INSTALLATION.
The wireless adapter can be inserted into the USB extension cable, with the tac/blue-tac etc, holding the extension cable in place (I can try to make a future revision of this in order to ensure a relatively tight fit).
Once the installation of the USB extension and adapter are complete, its just a matter of connecting the cable to your PC, and the increased area of the mount allows for easy gluing/double adhesive mounting to any surface.
