This is a remix of the extuder light bar from Megasaturnv who remixed it from Hermiedug.
As i only got these RGB LED strips who got a cutable area every 10cm i had to rework some things to fit my needs.
- I extended the mount to the left and right to fit my 10cm RGB LED strip.
- I redesigned the "mount" to snap in the ventilator grid.
- I added a small cable clip on the left to lay the cables direcltly with the ones of the 3D Touch sensor.
- I also added some clips to hold the RGB LED strip in place. As i dont trust my double sided duct tape with that many temperature changes!
My original design where a bit closer to the hotend and i got problems with deforming parts so i decided to go as far back as i can.
I decided to power this strip with a battery so i dont have to tinker with other electronic.
If you need some more informations just ask me. I could also redesign a bit if needed.
Hermiedug's original summary:
A little light under the extruder often helps with getting the first layers down properly. This very simple light bar requires 3 of those 12V sticky back LEDs that can be bought on a roll, from Amazon and other online sellers. I used cable ties to support the wire along a Bowden tube and the battery sits on top of the PSU with double sided tape for a fixing ( all very simple )
30% but doesnt really matter 15 will be fine too
Print it laying on the sides with the clips for mounting
