So I designed this All-In-One Desktop Organizer for the Autodesk Design Competition. This organizer will support 6 compartments for organization and several writing utensils. I designed this in Fusion 360 and took me about 2 days.
How I designed:
Well, I saw that Autodesk was having a design contest and with me being a new CAD Designer, I figured why not.
I thought of a design in my head about how to go about it.
I went into Fusion 360 and my original base, a cylinder, would be too wasteful in material and time.
I then thought about using a rectangular prism since it was the best option for filament and time and I can do alot with a rectangular prism.
Then I thought of compartment design.
I thought about it and wanted 6 compartments, figured it should be enough for office stuff.
I have this part organizer near my printer and used that as a reference for what I wanted to use as a compartment design.
I came up with 4 designs for compartments: 0 Walls, 1 wall, 3 walls, 4 walls.
I then designed a 5.7ish inch tall pole that the compartments would sit on through the hole I put in along with a 1/10th inch spacer in-bedded.
NOTES: I am not very good at explaining how I did something :/
