This is a model base I created for Bolt Action Artillery models. The primary feature is the "Firing Arc Gauge" built into it. By mounting the breech of the gun model directly over the raised disc centered on the base with the barrel pointed to the notch in the front of the base, you can easily sight down the front angles to see if the target is in arc.
There are three sizes. The Large Arc version is the small base with a larger arc triangle to make the measurement of arc limits easier on taller artillery pieces.
You can easily scale any of the three to get the ideal size base for your artillery for any game where a 90 degree firing arc applies.
The pictures show the small base with a 75mm field gun and 37mm Bofors AT gun in Polish service.
I usually print with hatchbox gray but I has to use a clear PLA to print the initial copies as I needed them quickly.
I have ironing enabled but this is not needed since the bases will likely be covered with scenic effects.
Who said I wouldn't use geometry as an adult?
This is a simple design of overlapping geometric components arranged to provie a 90 degree arc field of fire reference used in Bolt Action and other tabletop wargames.
