Great Script for generating scad vases : BUT NOTE -

Generated STL files will need post-processing in order to be 3d printed.
I used MakePrintable. Guessing Something like meshmixer will work as well.
Cura will not fix scad generated STL.

Yes, it's a problem when generating models from script. Some parameters will cause unseasonable vertices. As you said, you always have to check the model before printing, especially for complex models.

Thanks for sharing. I downloaded OpenSCAD to play around with your function. I don't really know SCAD other than the 15 minutes of tutorial video and some background writing code. I figured out some of it, but one thing I've noticed is that all designs seem to have the same size base. Is this a requirement of some of the underlying functions, or is it a parameter that could be passed?

The base shape is generated by Superformula. r is 1 when Φ = 0 according to the formula. If you want to scale the base, OpenSCAD has a scale function.

r is 1 when Φ = 0, so if you want to double the vase base, just add scale(2) before the function call of line 52, such as:

scale(2) superformula_vase(phi_step, m, n, n3, d, r1, r2, h1, h2, t_step, twist);
