Finally a solution to hold the end of a filament that doesn't require the use of the side of the spool! I've tried several clips/snaps/clamps/etc that all use the spool wall and they all inevitably pop off as the spool next to it in my storage boxes rub against them and pry them off. This is the style that I need to hopefully fix that issue!

Ended up simplifying it down a bit and it works perfectly!!! Finally, the perfect filament clip!

Filament Clip (1.75mm)

Brilliant design, works like a charm. Best Filament Clip I've printed. Thanks!

This design worked out really well! Thanks so much!

These are the bomb. I made a dozen of them and use them on all my spools. Excellent.

is this just for storing filament? my recent issue that i have is the filament on the roll and it sometimes unwinds a bit and gets caught behind the spool. i'm not sure if its the spool holder itself and the tension or what..

Yes, you use these kind of clips (many different desings out there) to prevent the filament unwinding itself while stored on the spool. If you let a spool totally loose it's only a matter of time it jams on itself during a print.

If you have issues while printing you should look for a different solution for your setup. This clip is for when you unload and store spools, not to be used during printing. You should maybe look into filament guides and roller holders etc. to prevent that issue.

ok thanks for that. great design btw

Works like a charm !

I'm very glad if even one user can use this one in the vast jungle of filament clips lmaoooo

Hi, thanks for the design, will definitely check this one out and print one or more for myself. I hope they work, would be great :)
