Mount for a fan (40x40x10) and a heatsink (40x40x11) to be used in Nema17 stepper motors. Snaps well in place.
Preferable to use thermal paste between heatsink and stepper in order to achieve better heat transfer.
Use high-temp plastics such as PETG or ABS. The part will be in direct contact with the stepper, so PLA will soften easily. I used ABS. No Supports required.
Needed to hold the fan to the mount: 3mm Nuts(x4), M3x15mm Screws (x4)
Any question: feel free to comment down below.
v2.: The fit for the heatsink was too tight, causing the arms to bend a little bit, which caused the whole mount to be somewhat loose. Problem fixed!
-Use a slightly higher print temp than usual for stronger part. If the temp is too low it may break in assembly.
-A 14mm screw will result in no threads left outside the nut. A longer one may hit the heatsink's "fins". If needed, you may move away some of them with pliers for the screw to be free.
