Inspired by my Mojo 230, I decided to build a resilient plastic shell for my TBS Source One, that will protect its wiring and electronics from debris when crashing. I managed to build this which actually worked amazingly well and kept my Source One intact in many violent crashes.
This shell is designed to work with 25 mm standoffs and can accomodate mini cameras quite well. I tested it with Foxeer Predator Mini V3.
The accessories you will find in this kit are for:
- ESC (designed for Airbot Wraith but will work with any other)
- GPS (designed for a BN220 - 22W x 24L x 7H mm)
- TBS Unify Pro SMA Pigtail
You may print the shell with 0.5/0.6 nozzler but the accessories need a more detailed 0.4 mm nozzle with 0.25 layer height.
The shell can be printed out from PLA or PETG, although I recommend PETG for increased durability.
The accessories, though, must be printed w/ flexible filament as they are designed to bend in order to fit the components they are designed for. I printed mine from TPU.
Modular and unibody shell
There are two versions for the shell: the modular version and the unibody.
The modular one is designed to have the camera mount printed separately from the core body shell. This way you can play with colors for your shell, or print the core body from TPU and the camera mount from some rigid material.
If you just need to shell and you want to print it in a single go, choose version B.
