hi...so I made a modification to your design...the shaft is way to narrow to print vertically so i added a 30mm skirt

It's too long ago for me to remember how I printed the shaft but it would have been printed in PLA I'm sure that I would have used a pretty decent brim.
I wouldn't have any qualms about printing it vertically on my Unlitmaker 1 (if it was working at the moment!!) with a decent brim. I'd use 0.2mm layer height, perhaps up the temperature a little and slow down a little. Oh, and for parts like that I generally use 6 layers top and bottom and for the perimeter, and 30% fill.

Where does the washer go??

It's to retain the larger gear on the hub.
Does that explain it satisfactorily?

not exactly..how is the washer attached???

Sorry, that should have been in the 'instructions'.
I've just looked at the one that I made and was surprised to see that I have NOT fitted the washer, nor (of course) anything to retain it. So you might like to give that a go.
I habitually use 3mm Button Head Cap Screws, 10mm long but in this case, a 20mm long screw is required, This is because the part is designed so the there is no risk of expanding the square section of the hub shaft by cutting a thread in the bore.
The bore for the length of the square section is 3.4mm dia which is then reduced to 2.8mm dia (drawings sizes, shrinkage will reduce the diameter slightly).

Which center hub are you suppose to make? The one from gzumwalt was too long?

Oh, I am sorry. Looks like I missed uploading the hub file.
I've uploaded it just now.
Very sorry to have stuffed you about.
