Hello! I have a problem: I'm slicing this through Lulzbot Cura and am getting invisible layers on the piano body?

For some reason it also eats up a lot of material (over 7 hours worth), and supports don't appear to be added for the rod despite Cura's option to add supports having been ticked. Is this a bug in Cura? I've sliced quite a few models through L. Cura and this is the first time I've seen empty supports in layer view and invisible layers throughout.

This is a great phone holder design for someone who likes music! The only thing that I saw wrong with the design is that the rod that would prop up the lid is very small. When I printed mine out the rod broke off during the water bath. Overall it's a great design.

Mine printed perfectly! I did slice the legs and print them separately to avoid making a ton of supports under the main body of the piano. The prop rod is a little messy, but you don't really notice it, especially since it didn't have any issue until the very top of the rod. Overall i was very pleased with how it turned out.

Loved the concept, but had some problems printing. It needed some supports for the bottom of the piano and the bar that holds the top did not form at all. The bottom was just a mess of lose strips that we are attempting to take off, but not sure how far to go or if we tried some type of glue to hold in place.

I really love this, but printing it is really tricky. My printer has failed 3 times already. Please make a version split into parts so it can be printed without supports

I remixed it with split parts if you're still interested: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2148309

how long does it take to make and can it fit iphone 5s

you should make this a little bit easier to print. I suggest making it into 3 pieces like I did when i printed it. I would make the legs and the prop separate prints so massive amounts of support material, are not required.

I split the print into parts in my remix: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2148309

Thank you for your comment "ApplePie" !
I'll definitly make this more printable, by slicing my design like you said.
I don't have printer so my first designs were not optimized for printing...
Thanks for your help. Also, could you post a photo of your make to see the result ?

That would be difficult because I gave it away as a present a few weeks ago. The best I could do is create a very small version of the model because it takes quite a bit of material to make a full scale version, even with the modifications I made(I don't really have a use for it and it costs money). I am sorry I forgot to take a pic when I had it

Ok don't worry ! I'm glad that my design was printed as a present. And I hope your friend like it !
