This would make a great base for a Magic Eye VU meter, eg.

Very cool! I have to make one! I like the way the tube looks with the changing LED colors.

Very cool project! Love those ELACs but I assume this would also work with not-so-high-end speakers... LOL! Thanks for sharing!

I hand build a tube amp to go with the speakers. Turns out, making a few mistakes while build the amp is handy when looking for broken tubes to display.

Wow, that setup looks SICK! Love the exposed transformers. Would that be a pure Class-A tube amp?

It's class AB Push-Pull, using EL84s and 6DJ8 driver/cathodyne. I'm building another one, I ran out of power to build the pre-amp the way I wanted. The new one will have a 300mA power supply @ 310V. The touch screen display, automatic on/off, bluetooth and music sensitive LEDs under the tubes give the amp a unique character while maintaining a pure tube-sound.

The insides doesn't look quite as nice.

Btw, I used Eryone Rainbow Steampunk filament. You should check it out on Amazon. It's pretty amazing.

Very nice! I just made a steampunk vacuum tube holder but all it does is keep the tube upright. Now I'm going to make yours instead! Thanks for sharing!

Nice job, its beautifull

Hey, thanks for sharing this! Really nice work and comprehensive description of every step. I have put it onto my todo list ;-)

That's awesome, please post a pic of it when it's done. Can't wait to see it.
