This is really cool. Is there a way we can add a button/tab underneath to prevent accidental opening?

Please help make better Pringles secret money stash: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3464872

Pringles Money Stash

Nice Design! This needs a small clip/bump on the inner shelf so that if you pull on it lightly it will seem solid :)

Need a version of this with a slot to hold a straight razor and a mirror on top...

I would print this, but we live in an apartment. :T
Still REALLY cool.

What is the size of the largest part

OMG what are the dimensions? I have a Brother who likes to steal my money and i really need this for life at my house to hide... stuff

I was number 10000 at likes :))))))))
Great design now printing.

A lip around the outer edge would make it a lot more effective, it's a good build, that would make it even more effective though.

Is there anyway you can provide the source files? Ideally id like to print it out about 30cm long, 10cm tall, and 15cm deep.

I used Cura to customize mine because it wouldn't fit the build area and it turned out really well. If you want an exact size I can tell you the dimensions to type in (percentages etc.) I made mine deeper and longer to compensate for the lack of width.

What Are the dimensions RRMalone???

Well, no one will know you hide it in this shelf unless you post it to the public

shit design, made the outside bit, the roof just collapsed

its not designers fault you don't know what you're doing. rotate y 180 degrees. problem solved.

Flip the print over in your slicer so the flat surface is on the print bed.

Looks like it would need support. Or possibly print it upside down.

What size screws does it use?

well, if you have a 3d printed shelf, as it's a new technology, the first thing your friends are going to do (you being around or not), is to touch it first, and then, pull on it, to test if it's solid.

That is such a good idea! I really wish my printer wasn't broken!

cool i know where i can hide my weed now so my mom don´t smoke it

The trick would be to print several fully infilled, and just one that has a stash. Great idea Tosh!

Not sure how to print this so the interior isn't infilled.

you could flip it upside down...

Set infill to 0?

I think it is ok for it to be sod on ebay because it gives people a chance to have something 3d printed even if they don't have a 3d printer

btw this is being sold on ebay

What do you recommend for infill %?

30 to 50% should be enough and if your solid fill layers for the bottom and top is around 3-5 it should make it seem solid (meaning u wont be able to see through it)

Does it damages the wall?

you kinda screw it in so probably if you want to remove it

for the outside shelf, can you upload a file where its upside down?

just rotate it in your slicer

adjust the position in your program u use for printing

if u position it right u can do it without supports

How do you recommend to position?

rotate the part that would need supports upside down and print with pla 100% fan speed

can you upload a video of it

Great print. It was only my 4th print and it came out perfect. Thanks

I wonder if it will work with push-pins like most of Tosh's designs? :)
I'll print soon and try :)

So? Did it work?...

Did it work with push pins?

So you print this as one part but how does the top disconnect from the bottom on the shelf_outside.stl?

you print it as two look at the thing files there is the bottom and the cover

Do you also mail the design like pinshape.

should i print the shell upside down?

Great idea! There's one flaw though, anyone who saw this can steal your secret stash of money. :P

make decoys lol... who sais im stashing money

What type of screws did you use? I can't find any that fit :(

Fine! Everybody now know where I keep my money~ :'(

I wish i could see this thead earlier
but my wife found this thread already : (

Very nice! Could you create also a longer version?

Twice. Just scaling up won't help because the screw holes should not be resized...

Cool idea, but now it's not a secret anymore! ;o)

Im using this to keep my stuff secret from my family because money just keeps disappearing

yeah, all the thieves out there who ALSO own 3D printers and are active on Thingiverse will know about it :)

They don't need to own 3D printers.
