Quick question: did you heat set an E3D bowden collet into this?

Silly question: Orientation of the circuit board in the mount? (photo or sketch would be helpful)

Ah yes - I took pictures before I went on holidays a few weeks back but forgot to put them up, sorry about that. I will post them soon.

The way I have it is with the bit of the board that sticks out to the same side as the cable bundle holder - right hand side when you're facing the printer. The holder arm is positioned in such a way that you still have easy access to the little screw that adjusts the sensitivity of the probe.

Hello, what is the rest of the extruder? Which extruder to use to be able to mount your piezo design? Printer is Ender 3.

Hi! I believe you mean the hot end, right?

I'll edit the thing to clarify but on top of the mount you'll need a groovemount PrecisionPiezo Orion kit (https://www.precisionpiezo.co.uk/product-page/precision-piezo-orion-kit) and a groovemount E3Dv6 or compatible hot end.


Hi, yes I meant the hot end. And for the orion kit which options to chose from their website? Grovemount vs screwmount, Heatsink mounting? It's very confusing. I'll probably use e3d v6 extruder.

It is confusing, I agree.

For Module Mounting Option it doesn't really matter since this mount replaces that part.
For Heatsink Mounting it will be whatever your E3Dv6 model is. Groovemount is the most common (https://e3d-online.com/v6-heatsink), whereas threaded is a newer iteration, still in Beta (https://e3d-online.com/v6-threaded-heatsink).
