Goliathus extruder in my opinion is the most compact and sophisticated design for the e3dv6 hotend.
I remixed the design so that it can attach to the formbot raptor plate.
Only additional parts required are
1) Stepper Extension Cable
2) Jumper Wires
3) Solder Iron and other tools to splice the extension cable and jumpers together.
I also remixed the fan design for a more reliable fixture.
It is a three part design. The blue holds the whole extruder assembly.
The yellow part(PCB mount) holds the PCB
The green and red is the Fan Duct for a 5015 blower fan
FanMount is for older version of Titan Extruder.
If you have a the new version then print FanMount New. Since I have the old design you might have to make changes to the design.
You can print in PLA but ABS is much better for longevity.
You will require 4 M3x10 bolts (Taken from the factory extruder assembly). The assembly is a bit straight forward.
1] Screw in the main body to the aluminium plate using o M3 bolt
2] Assemble the Titan extruder.
3] Screw in the PCB to the PCB mount and then screw the mount to the main body with 1 m3x5 screw
4] Connect cables, pass them trough the recess/flanges in the PCB mount (To avoid rubbing of cables with the belt)
5]Connect everything to the PCB and it is done.
6]Edit the firmware adding BLtouch offset of X24.0 Y-1.0. And change the Z offset to -0.5
7] Invert Extruder motor direction and Esteps/mm to 437 (It is a good starting point)
However there were quite a few problems that I faced while making and installing the carriage. The following is a rundown.
1] I decided to mount the PCB on the rear of the aluminium plate which seems to me is the best place for it to be in terms of easy assembly.
After mounting the PCB I realised that the thermistor and heater cartridge cable were not long enough to reach the PCB connectors and so I had to cut the cables and reconnect them to extra pieces of wire to lengthen them.
I must say these changes weren't very difficult to make however they are permanent and doing so without proper care may lead to damage.
