Man, this design is horrible, it is like paper thin side wings, this is not for plastic, it is for metal i think. Dont print i say. It will break.

Hi Erol,
Those thin side wings are the result of several development iterations, when I was trying to achieve a good balance between stiffness of those wings and simplicity of battery replacement. In the case if they are breaking when you replace the battery, the problem might be in poor layer adhesion during printing. It is usually fixed with tuning some printing parameters of your slicer. Anyway, I successfully printed and used several of those battery holders (using ABS) more than 6 years ago. Nowadays, I would suggest using of PETG for printing such kind of things (with vertical springy elements).

Hello,
Is it possible to make a holder for 2 AA connected in serial ? (to obtain 3v), like this :

-batt_one+- batt_two+

Hi,
Yes, just print a holder for 2 AA and connect them similarly to how 4 of them connected in serial (in the pictures shown along with the thing).

hi! there is no 4xAAA holder? damn xD

looks like your printing in hips, very handy models. thanks

Are there source files available for this?

STL files only available, sorry.

I need a holder for 4 AA batteries, so I have designed and added that, as well as several more battery holders. Enjoy :-)

Pretty cool, I wish I had these a couple months ago! These will come in handy and save me some trips to Radio Shack!
