I set out to just do a simplified redo of rauloklee's adapter. I like the simi-circular nozzle, therefore it seemed quite easy to replace one for the other. Easy enough, but all the air was going back out the top of the fan. One of the comments said that this was due to square sides and no vortex. Well, that wasn't the case.
In looking up what the cause could be, I found the static pressure booster by Dan6oN on YouMangine.com. Although a bit noisier, the airflow was incredible. All I had to do was resize it from 140mm to 40mm. Then my controller board went down. I may of had a hand it that. Anyway, with all the time between prints. I learned Fusion 360. I'm still learning.
This adapter prints well using support from build plate. I used PLA Normal 0.15 and 60% Gyroid infill. I also increased the wall thickness to 1.2mm.
The use of a brim could break the nozzle as you take the brim off, so I do not advise using them.
