The used Skoda Fabia (type 5J) which I bought didn't come with a boot lid.
I didn't even notice that also one of the suspension pins in the trunk door was missing until I bought only the lid itself as a replacement part.
So instead of ordering one of those ridiculously tiny parts separately and paying a multiple of the part cost for shipping, I simply designed and printed this.
This piece has tiny barbs that should lock it firmly in place once it is fully inserted in the hole.
0.2 mm layer height (0.4 mm nozzle)
FilaTex3D PETG or higher temp resistance material (e.g. Polymaker PC-MAX)
Print in the exact orientation the print file is supplied. See the slicer screenshot for reference. Printing the pin upright will cause breakage.
Activate generation of supports only from the build plate (not full supports). Rafts are not needed as the generated support structures provide enough bed adhesion for the whole part on their own.
Print with PETG or another material with equal or higher temperature resistance, for example Polymaker PC-MAX. A car interior can get incredibly hot during summer.
Be avised that this part has a very tight fit. I made gentle use of a hammer to fully fit mine into the hole. In exchange, the part stays in place securely.
