I designed this fully printable guitar peg winder after I lost my store-bought one. I did not need supports when printing the .stl files as they are, but if you have problems with the peg cup, supports may help.
Everything was printed at .2mm layer height and 25% infill. Printed with two different printers (anycubic mega and a monoprice select) and no issues.
The peg cup is big enough to easily fit most tuning peg styles (except the crazy big ones, you know the ones!). I suggest printing the peg cup first to make sure it fits your guitar or bass :).
The screw can be a tight fit. Screw it into the handle by hand, one turn at a time, and back it out again when it gets hard to turn. Keep doing this and the PLA will wear into a perfect fit with no backlash.
Print the screw with more infill and thicker walls if you want more strength!
- If the screw does not fit, print with finer .1mm resolution.
- Printing with a brim will help keep the handle from falling during a print
