I really like this model for a friend who's beagle just passed, but I wanted a smoother version so I increased the polygons in Blender and the model looks great in the slicer software... I first used Ideamaker (my default slicer) but for some reason the supports will not generate properly. In the attached photo, the yellow is the generated supports. This has never happened to a model so far. The yellow pillars always go from the build plate to the model... I decided to try a different slicer (Cura) and while it mostly printed beautifully, the top of the beagle's snout did not produce any top layers. I have 10 top layers at .12 layer height set... Can you help fix this or offer any tips please?

Hi Kevin,

Thank you for downloading and printing this model! Seems like it came out mostly good! I think what is happening on the snout is some printers have a hard time at printing, say +-15 degrees, smoothly and that's why you get those lines/stepping. If you are comfortable with blender, try increasing the angle of that snout. They printer should take care of that smoothing then. Let me know if you come right with it in blender, else I can take a look at it.

Good luck!
