Thank you for sharing that. I'd like to create a case for original PCB including RasPi and few other things. I printed yours thinking I'll pack everything up somehow but it's obviously too small. Could you share the files for the box so I can modify it in Fusion 360 or SketchUp? I appreciate if you don't want to, you put a lot of effort in it. I'm just starting, it'd probably take me a few days to design such thing. Thanks in advance.

I'm planning standalone setup like yours, but I think I'll go with AC heat bed and lower power PSU (still 24V), possibly fanless. Why didn't you use bigger fan for motherboard? More flow, same noise...

This depth of the case is just over 40mm so 40mm fan was the biggest I could get in.. the other option was to mount it on top but then you would have bits of filament falling in all the time. thanks :-)

In this motherboard orientation - you are right. I'm thinking about placing motherboard upside down - case solid from top (no dust, no filament garbage) and hollow from the bottom to place there 12cm fan (or bigger/smaller - just to cover most of the main board, especially stepsticks). This way case will probably exceed your ~45(?) mm but only a bit (depends on used fan).

What drivers did you use except 2130?

Hiya, yes I can see that working, putting the cover underneath. I'm only using 2 x 2130's, the other two are the standard cheapo drivers the board came with. I've read some have had problems with Z / Extruder drivers so just left them as is. The extruder motor is the loudest thing now other than the PSU fan when it retracts.. still that's not that loud :-) I think I've done with the modding for now, just completed the filament sensor mount - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3526524 Seems to work well :-) Oh, and a I also printed some cable and bowden clips too.

Good stuff. I can't look at your firmware at the moment, could you tell me if you're running stealthchop? What motor current? Hybrid threshold? I'm having a hell of a time with skipped steps. Thanks!

I'm running mine in dumb mode.. just removed the jumpers and put them in. I think I bridged a jumper from memory so they are in standalone mode... Ive not done anything else to them.

And they're that quiet. Huh. I've got some 2208's that I'm going to drop in as standalone to see if I can get better performance.

The drivers much prefer 24v.. is yours a 12 or 24v setup?

What vref did you set the 2130s to? Thanks!

They set themselves.. All I did was remove the jumpers and plug them in..

I switched to a 24V Mean Well supply as well. They're still quite loud on spreadcycle mode.

Tip: Your heated bed is NOT from the Pro. The Pro has a 310x320 bed ;)

AHH is it.. that's good to know. That's what came up when I did a search so thought it was for it. It fits anyway and the screw holes align up .. :-). Lucky I guess.. lol
