Do they stand on their own (alone)? In the pictures they seem to lean on the wall always...

Yes, they do stand alone no problem. Look at the pictures posted as makes, people had them as you wish. On my desk they are just aligned on the electric wire casing but they don't have to touch the wall.

these are really cool! Any chance you could make a version with a longer and wider "flow"?

Mine keep snapping off the base.

I'd also like it if it had a uniform central flow that could be extended with multiple segments to make a wall display.

Snapping off means breaking, is that right ? (I first thought you meant it tumbled over, I'm not native speaker). In that case why should it be longer ?
I don't really see what you mean with the segments. To make a wall display we don't need the puddle, we would just pour over a shelf and stop the flow in the air ? Any way to post a sketch ? Or is it you want a circular puddle ?

Glad you appreciate my thing and are interested in making it evolve

the part where it meets the puddle needs to be thicker. maybe a wider flow because when I printed it, the section that brings was about 3mm diameter

Have a try with the "wider paint" and let me know. post a make of your success ! or let's alteri t together again
Still puzzled and exited by your suggestion for a wall display... let me know

the wider model was great!

I suppose a wall display could just be a long tube shape. with part of the bucket coming out of the wall.

I made https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3587007 as a wall display. Is this what you were thinking about ?
All the best

Pouring paint wall display

So no puddles then, just the gooey bits hanging down ....
I 'll see what I can do, publish it and you can make it, I don't have all the colours left any more.
I'll be very busy those next weeks, so no schedule of promises I couldn't hold.

Maybe just six for a start ?

very nice! thanks for the shout out!
