Can you make it so it can be mounted on the left extrusion ? I prefer to keep the original screen on the right. Thanks

I've added a version for the left side, I've not tested it though so please have a go and let me know if theres any issues. I did add a little extra to try to stop the SD card from hitting onto the bed adjuster thumbwheel but not sure if I did enough...

Thanks.
Seems all good.

Just a couple of things :

  • When the SD is removed, it's quite difficult to see where the card port is located.
  • And it's actually quite easy to put the SD in the small space between the case and the board. If I don't actually check, I miss the SD port completely.

And thanks for the customs icons

I'm glad it mostly worked, my design was fairly basic and I see what you mean about the SD slot, probably made double worse being on the left side as theres not as much room. I did notice that since I made my design that someone had made one thats better designed, plus has left/right ones too. Try this one: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3588606

BIQU BIGTREETECH TFT35 (V1.2) Ender 3 Case Mount (Left or Right )
by The-Doc

Hi, how do you connecr the 5 cables to the motherboard?

I dont think it'll work with the stock board. I am using it with a MKS Gen L board.

I am also using a MKS Gen L board but when i connect this Touchscreen, my raspberry pi running octoprint will not work. So I would like to check with you on how you did your connections between the motherboard and touchscreen.

Thanks!

Mine was connected to the AUX-1 port. I dont use Octoprint much but theres a good chance it'll interfere as they both kinda control it in the same way.

can you make an Ender 5 version?

Possibly, looks very much the same except where it mounts to the frame. If you can measure the dimensions I can sort it, unless you're good at Fusion 360 and happy to sort it yourself, I can send you the original files.
