This is my remix of mojode's fiamma awning front cap. My goal was to produce as minimal a print as possible, at the same time retaining all useful function of the original part.
Cheers to mojode for including the perimeter stl files so it was easy to check for fit.
I have also designed the rear cap (also a remix from mojode) at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3110185
The last photo is of the old weathered cap.
Devil Design PETG
4 perimeters, 4 solid layers top/bottom. I sliced with Slic3r and had the first (up to height ~8mm) layers print with 0.1 resolution and the rest with 0.3.
Printed with the large face on the bed, set bed temp to 80 for the first layer and 60 for the rest so the overhanging edges wouldn't curl.
No supports needed, the retaining clips should print fine as I have included a bit of support in the model. May need a bit of postprocessing.
Add a bit of silicone to hold the part firmly on the awning.
