I love this idea. I use AA and the 123A batteries like alot. Any chance an insert can be made for those maybe 2 and 2? Awesome idea and product. I'm just starting out and this is inspiring (and intimidating). Also trying to learn Fusion 360.

any chance of a CR123 version? Thanks man!

Made one w. AA and AAA, fit nicely. Printed up the one w. 9V batteries but there's a slight problem. The (-) terminal on the 9V is a lot wider than the (+) terminal so they won't fit in the same-sized terminal slots provided. I'll grind out the insert that I have but you might want to check and make one of the terminal slots wider than the other. Almost time to order more altoids cuz of all the battery stuff to put in there. Thanks!

Thanks for the tip on the 9v version. As you can see from the photos I didn't have one around when I made this so I was going with drawings only. I'll make the mods and repost.

Hey there! Updated the 9V battery to be open all the way across. I bought 3 different 9V batteries and they were all slightly different, so decided to stop being "clever" and just make it open. Let me know how it works!

Great boxes. Waiting for the 9V too.

any chance you can add an 21700 battery aswell? and what size tin can does these match?

Just added a 21700 version. I don't have a 21700 battery so you'll need to let me know if it works (post a pic).

Hey there,
I'll see what I can do on a 21700 insert. These fit the standard "Classic" Altoids tins https://amzn.to/2TEEUal.

I took the liberty to remix it since the lid would not close. anyhow thanks for the design the dimensions are on point

Good deal. Yeah I took it as low as I could without going through the bottom 'cause I was worried about metal touching the batteries. Good to see you came up with a solution that works for you!

awesome thanks! ordered some altoids and will post a picture when done :)
