Fantastic Idea! Looks like a great project to build. openSCAD files opened and rendered for me (once I realized I needed to uncomment each component for it to do so) Thanks for posting.

I like it, but where are the drawer STL's? I have amazon spools on hand for this and like the way these ones are installed. looks like they simply pop in.

riskable recommends that you check out this thing for the customizable spool drawers. I just installed the latest version of OpenScad to try out the customizer and it works great.

Customizable Filament Spool Drawers

I think I'm just going to generate one and use it as a base and edit after exporting as an STL, only problem is that openscad is such a terrible program it can't even do that right

I looked at it already and it's using additional hardware which is not what is shown in this make

You don't need any additional hardware except a drill to make the holes for the hinges. For the hinge pins I just printed a 5mm octagonal pin that I quickly coded up in OpenSCAD...

cylinder(d=5, h=70, $fn=8);

I actually did a little more than that by making one end have a little flare (so it wouldn't go all the way through) and the other end a little chamfered so it would slide in more easily.
