How you like the capacitance probe ? Is it accurate enough for UBL ? Any advice for setup? I have installed one on A10m but seem to be getting a lot of deviation between probe points. What is you detection height and your build plate material? Did you have to adjust screw on top of probe? Sorry for do many Questions.

Hi there! Don't need to be sorry :-)

Actually I was quite disappointed too: I had a 3DTouch (BLTouch-clone) which was pretty inaccurate so I tried to improve with a capacitive or inductive probe, so I tried both. The capacitive one was even less precise than the 3DTouch. I tried to adjust it to 7.5mm with the screw as the datasheet states a detection distance from 5-10m. (But I've also tried larger and shorter distances out of desperation.) In the end I had to give up as the probe didn't work reliably at all. Then I gave an inductive probe a short try, but this didn't work at all.

I think the glass bed with only the thin alloy plate is not massive enought to be detected by any of these probes, but exactly this kind of bed turned out to be so uneven, that I couldn't run it without ABL.

After trying this I got me an original BLTouch and it was precise beyond my expectations. Just wow!
For that one I use triple probing with bilinear ABL and Catmull-Rom subdivison in Marlin 2.0.x.

My A10m did not come wuth super plate, but 3mm aluminium plate and 0.5 plastic layer. I did buy creality plate and it was 4mm thick and reason i choose capacitance probe , i got a lot of layer shift on yaxis due to high weight of glass plate so went back to just using aluminium plate.
I just upgraded to marlin 2 and activated probe and also upgraded to tmc2208 on all steppers. I read a lot of people having trouble getting 3D touch to work so chose fixed mount probe capacitance, but now have ordered a inductive probe thinking it be more acuurate for aluminium plate. I new at 3D printing and just trying different thing to see what works best, i did love how easy prints came off glass bed, so still interested in getting that working i could buy a 3mm glass plate online, but i am thinking of going to glass cutter and getting 2 to 3mm glass plate made. I appreciate you detailed answer it helps to know other experience using same tech, whether It working correct or user error.
