Often I forget to switch the cooling fan on when I am printing objects with bridging and the result is a waste of filament and I have to print it again.
Now i have installed a limit switch which activates the fan automatic after an adjusted travel distance of the z-axis.
This is my first share and it was designed to work with my CTC dual.
It might be compatible with following printers:
MakerBot Replicator 1
FF3DP FlashForge Creator
CTC Creator Dual
WanHao Duplicator 4 and Duplicator 4X
please let me know if it does or doesn't.
I hope it will print well on your printer. If not, let me know. You might need to sand the parts etc.
Just wire the C-NC contact of the limit switch in series with your switch which you use to turn the fan on. Assembly instruction and needed parts are in the pictures.
I hope you can use it!
