I made a new valve boss for my Crosman 2240, the purpose for this upload is if someone is thinking about making a new valve boss for the gun. The valve port is printed and inserted in the housing, for better air flow, and the outlet valve seal is pressed in front of it with a o-ring seal. I cnc machined it, but it is possible to do it in a support lathe to.
I made the valve stem of a 3.5mm hardened steel rod from a torx screwdriver for carbide inserts, but any hardened rod up to 4mm is suitable. The valve on the stem is made of nylon, and are hard pressed on to the rod and machined. The boss is made of brass, and a spring and some o-rings is needed.
The seal for the co2 is also made of nylon, and the thread i used for the end cap is M16 X 1
I tried with an o-ring for co2 seal, but it dont work so good. It blows away if there is the slightest pressure left in the tube.
Dont print it in ABS, it is difficoult to sand off.
