This lithopane display uses an inexpensive LED tea light held by an alien figure designed by Icenvain. Thanks for the great alien model!
I used a submersible light. I recommend the kind that has a clear lens because the alien is placed at such a distance as to make use of this focal length.
I included some crop circle designs and some "characters" from an unknown alien alphabet to decorate the base. I have also included an unaltered version of the base with the files.
Use your slicer to add pauses before printing layer 3 to swap filament to get the translucent alphabet and crop circle effect. Use another pause (around layer 21 or so, depending on your chosen layer height) to change colors again to get the alien figure to pop.
The display is meant to be used with a lithopane created with 3dp.rocks using the "outer curve" selection and a model size of 100mm. The included example lithopane created in this way features Ripley on "Alien 3".
