thanks for the idea. I came looking for a simple way of mounting a little tactile switch. Im not using your stl's but im copying oyur design into my own f360 design. I also have the smaller tactile switches i think it will work fine tho.

Wow.. This was what I was looking for. I have previously been trying to cut small piece of pcb to back my tactile switches.

Just an FYI. The 123D files can be converted to load into fusion 360 by doing the following:

Rename captive_switch.123dx to captive_switch.zip
This allows you to open up the file and find the individual files inside.
Open the renamed .zip file
Inside you will want to open the folders - Fusion(Active) / Breps.BlobParts
You will find a file named BREP2.smt
Extract this file and then rename it to BREP2.sat
Then under Fusion 360, click upload and select BREP2.sat.

Bingo, you have imported the items to edit or add to your project.
Thank you again. Great work Doug!

Glad you find it useful, I know I did! And that’s a cool trick on importing to Fusion! I’ll have to give it a try. Although, I admittedly find fusion to be awkward to use. There is a reason I’m still using 123D.
