Wanted to point out for folks as it wasn't immediately obvious to me.. the "pipe middle piece" is meant to go into the pipe scaffolding sections. The pillars are meant to stick out above the tops of the supports as well, with the walkways running between them. I was expecting the walkway/platform pieces to sit directly on the tops of the supports or have the pillar tops slot into them.

If you want walkways that goes on top you can use the 2.5 walkway which is a broader walkway. :)

For any americans who aren't familiar with piping, 22mm translates to a 1/2" PVC pipe, which has an OD of .84", which is 21.33mm. And thats available at your home depot equivalent for around $3 for 10 feet. I'm going to pick some up this weekend and post a make afterwards. Thanks for designing this!

Thank you for helping out. If you managed to try them out I'd love to see the results!

Thanks for sharing! Haven't come around to painting the prices myself. Really glad to see that they seem to take paint really well. Love your terrain, the whole piece is just lovely.

This looks great! No platform system for necromunda convinced me so far, but this one looks both solid, modular and detailed enough. Quick question, do the parts click into place (and can be removed after) or do they need to be glued for stability?

It's glue only ATM. I haven't tried to wrap my head around making it removable and addable. It is a very good idea though. I might look into this once I've finished all parts.

I totally appreciate that, it would be complex, but just in case. Would help store the parts in a small box for those with little space. I think I will make up some parts and glue them together as they are. If I make small sections, then they can just rest next to each other. Maybe you could recommend some small sections to make and suggest which parts would be needed to make them?

I've added pictures of a small example set up with a few walkways. Each walk way is stand alone so you can separate them for easier storage.

What you need to print without having pipes:

  • 6 x Pipe_Walkway single.
    12 x Pipe Walkway pillar 3
12 x Pipe Walkway Scaffolding no pipe. (These + Pipe Walkway pillar 3 holds up the top level walk ways)
  • 7 x Pipe walkway scaffolding pipe height (Holding up the mid level walkways / 90 degree one)
  • 1 x Pipe Walkways 90 degrees.
  • 3 x Pipe Rails small (If you use the 90 Degree walk way)
  • Atleast one Pipe stairs (Ground up to mid level, I've used 4 on my example)
  • 1 x Pipe Stairs v.2 (Midl evel to top level)
  • As many of the Pipe Rails version 1/2/3 as you want.

Epic!

Are the pipes needed to put the first level down or can I do it without them?

You don't need the pipes. You use the "pipe walkway scaffolding pipe height" file instead. I've added some notches n the steel beam so you know how far you need to push down the top piece. The top piece should cover the notch but no more than just covering it.

Wow this is amazing! Thank you!

I'm glad you like it! Would love to see what you do with it!
