Would it be possible to get step file?

thank you so much! I believe my purchased one is made from this model. having the step file is invaluable.

Thanks for sharing this. It really saved me because the one that came with my hotend broke!

Will this melt when i use it if it is printed in PLA?

It printed very well in PLA, screws where a little tight but OK. It did, however snapped when mounted on the heat sink. Dawn!

Soften it slightly with a hairdryer, I've got onethat I printed in PLA that I swap between the E3D-v6, the V6Lite and my Volcanoand not had a problem in 9 monhs of use

Thanks for posting this.. Although I know it has been for some time.. It just saved me being down while I waited for the replacment to arrive.. I printed it in PETG and so far so good

Would it be possible to get the file for the mold?

+1 for that, thank you.

Do you think this would work on a Prusa I3 ?

Is this for 40mm cooler?

I wasnt very happy with how the ones that came with my v6's fit after putting them on and taking them off a few times. half of them cracked. the holes seem too small too, so you have to really torque on the screws to mount the fan. I printed this out of PETG and I was so happy with how it fits, and that i can snap it on and off over and over and it still fits great. not to mention the screws for the fan go in excellent! I'm printing all my fan shrouds of PETG now.

Do you by chance have the updated version that comes with the latest v6?

This is the same version that has been used in all v6's since the start..

I cannot print it in ABS since it breaks at the thinnest point.

for me it printed perfectly in ABS, i did use supports to make a easier print.

I recently printed it, and acetone vapored it :) it's pretty strong.

acetone vapor it ?

Best materials I have printed it in was taulman t-glase / colorfabb XT..

Printed one out to replace the blue stock piece, as it had become loose and started rattling.

Printed this is in PLA and it works great. I didnt bother with the stock one even though it clamp on harder. Ill print it again just a bit smaller and hope it clamps on better.

Second that, would love an step file please so I can mock up a dual duct :)

Would it be at all possible to post a STEP version of the design to make it easier to import into CAD programs please? :D
