Im having a little trouble fitting the springs into place. Any tips to help out? They dont flex much. should they?
Edit: Nevermind, I just wasnt pushing hard enough :/

the rings have a separation of 1mm, and that is a little ugly, a solution for that would be perfect.

I had mixed results with fixing that actually. Im no expert with 3D modeling and im still beating my head against the fusion 360 wall. (im much better with design for laser cutters) But every time I manually edited the model to clean up the tolerances, it would never actually fit together. My end solution was to either really tighten down the end cap or make each of the rings like 0.5% taller inside cura...I know its not a good clean fix...but like I said...not really the best at 3D modeling :(

Lmfao, that's my exact plan. Took a puzzle to the bar and the owner loved it. He wants me to make a variety of things. There sitting there for hours and profits are up. Thanks for the reply. Hit u if I have issues

These have been a huge hit at the bar I work at. I started with one of the 10 letter ones and set it to something "bar" themed. People started putting money inside it when they figured it out. Once i felt like enough people had figured it out I would change the word and come up with a new set of clues to give out over the course of the week. It was a fun game with the regulars. But the 10 letter ones didnt hold up very well, too many moving parts that wore out so made these instead.

Yeah, I was thinking the 10 would be a bit much. Saw this and said perfect. Printing now. Letter wheels tomorrow

dumb question, need to print:
5 letter rings
2 retainers
encoding ring ????
springs ????

Very valid question actually, and I should have posted that info.

1 retainer
5 letter rings
5 encoding rings
15 springs? I honestly cant remember if its 15 or 20
1 of each cap
1 of each cylinder

The outer cylinder (the threaded one) gets glued into the thick end cap (not the threaded side) and the retaining ring screws onto that. If im remembering right it looks like theres a spot for another set of springs but ignore it and slide the cylinder fully into the cap. Alot of the changes I made to the file were pretty dirty cuts and I couldn't be bothered to remove the extra details. This was made from a mix of the other ones on here, but im happy to say the 5 of these I made are still in full working order almost a year later even after being handled by drunks lol.
