I love this thing. I've given at least 10 away as examples of how amazing 3d printing is. Wish I could fit more on my board. I made the keychain thing cause one guy I gave one to told me he was trying to figure out a way to use it as a keychain. I also managed to get a discount on some printer ink when I gave one of them to a manager at staples. Awesome work!

Cool! And congratulations on getting the discount. :)
Thanks for sharing it with everyone!

Sliced with Miracle Grue on Makerware w/ 0.12 mm layers, 10% fill. 2 shells, scaled up to 130%. Printed on Replicator 1. Top surface has a few voids. Should probably make shells =3 and increase infill some.

For some reason, the two inner rings printed hollow on my T-O-M, but I was amazed by the way the rings moved so smoothly as soon as I took it out.

Hollow as in no infill, or something else?  I'm still learning how to use my Replicator myself, so I can't really help with that, but yeah I wasn't expecting the joints to work so well.

Yes. The outer two rings print perfectly, the inner two have no top or bottom, and no fill. Just the walls. The pins hold the third ring together, and the center just falls out - so it still works (and REALLY welll) but I haven't figured out why it does what it does yet...

Which slicer? I haven't had any trouble using Skeinforge 50.

also known as a gimbal 8]

Yeah, I thought that was the technical term for it but I didn't want to look stupider than I already did for calling it a "concentric spinny thing." :)
