I like his idea, it's easy to change by the user from up top! Curious thought of a couple things...

I see that the base plate holes are a lot bigger than the bolts that would go through to hold the joystick in place (approx 5mm needed on the joystick I have). Got me thinking, so dropped into Tinkercad to tweak the holes a bit. When I dropped the file in and started to build new 5 mm holes I noticed the existing were not equally spaced between each other (in X direction and Y with their neighbor).

Is there a reason they are not in line with each other? Also, why such large mounting holes

I have filled in the holes and put new 5mm holes in at 80mm x 40mm spacing. I am printing now to see if the plate will mount with the tighter tolerances.

Thanks again for the idea!!!

Is there a way to adjust the baseplate without distorting the snap in circle size/shape.. added a photo of my setup, this is great for 4/8 way issues instead of flipping the console to adjust.

Is there a reason you didn't use a diamond-shaped hole instead of a cross? That would allow you to "snap" directly between adjacent limits without having to return to center first.

I tried a few different shapes and found that the cross shape did the trick. I'm certainly open to designing additional inserts if the need arises. Just curious if you tried it as it is here? I have it installed in 2 working cabs and a 3rd being built. I've found it to work very well. I definitely appreciate your feedback, if you have an idea or sketch for a design change please contact me at facebook dot com /wagnerstechtalk and we can discuss further.
