Pretty good idea to monitor the internet traffic without background applications raising CPU load.
Maybe I would prefer a smaller case design that fits better to my desktop and personal preferences or the WeMos or ESP I already have.
But I can't find the software and pinout of your electronics as a base for my own solution.

As described, I just get the data via homeassistant. So, as long you do not use homeassistant, the code will not help you :)

Hello, i have homeassistant you can send a little Tutorial ? best regards alex

I thought, this network monitor would provide internet traffic data as a adta source and HA was the data drain.
As I understood Home Assistant just as a platform for smart home applications without studiyng the material that much, sorry for that.
Maybe I was alarmed by reading about data from the AVM Fritz!Box. So it seemed to be a nice and easy task...

Thank you for the information.

No problem :)

It's just the other way around. HA is providing the data at the moment for me - but for sure, if HA can grab that data, it should be possible to grab it directly. It was just easier for me to do it this way then digging into the fritzbox stuff :)

But to be honest, it makes sense to change that so that the device grabs the data directly without HA. Will have a look at this when there's some free time :)
