New question. I can find how to use it as multicolor print. Its not possible to save base, text and frame as different stl's.
Its only possible to chose singel material printer. i cant find how to change that. And it dont work to export svg either.
What areim doing wrong??

Its empty when i open the file..

you need to press F5 to preview, and F6 when you'r finished to render it...
Edit: just saw, in your screenshot that the scad is empty ... try redownloading it...

Working. That was the file. Thank you..

Hmm... the file is Zero bytes, thats why. try to download it again.

No, not working.
UI-WARNING: No top level geometry to render.
I just open your file Sign_V1.0c.scad

in your screenshot there is a message that the file was loaded, but in the code window nothing is being displayed.. as if it has loaded an empty file with that name.
after opening the file it should look as in my screenshot...

Yes, its working now. The first file was empty. Thank you for quick reply.
Best Regards

This is the first time I'm using Openscad or the customizer. I was able to create the sign I wanted using the customizer, but when I go to render it I get the error "no top level geometry to render." Am I doing something wrong? Everything shows up in the preview fine. Thank you for the help in advance, and thank you for this file!

did you change anything in the file or did you use the GUI customizer?

I’m using the GUI customizer

try downloading it again, then open it in openscad, without changing anything after opening it, press F5 to generate the preview, then when it is being displayed, press F6 in order to render it and wait for the "ding" sound when rendering is finished.
that should definetly work, if not check your openscad version.

Well, that worked for the most part. When I render the original file it works fine, but after I edit the text and try to get it to render my customized sign the program crashes. Do you have any idea what might cause that?

i sent you my email addr. via PM, pls send me your parameters and i'll try to figure it out...

You write:

•in the options under "Features" enable the "customizer" feature
•under View, enable the customizer

Where can I find this points in OpenSCAD?

Many thanks for your answer.

in openscad (needs to be a current development Snapshot! not the 2015.xx version)
Edit=>Preferences=>Features=>enable the "Customizer" feature

after that in the View Menu you have an option "Hide Customizer" which you have to uncheck

Find it and is in function now. Thanks.

Danke für die Bemühungen!

immer gerne ;-)
i updated the documentation to describe it a bit better...
