Love the design, frame looks beautiful with bronze filament. What are you using to keep it upright with the frame, just the power cord? I'm designing a simple support stand for it. Otherwise perfect and one of the few single portrait lithophane boxes available

yea the plug I use acts as the stand the whole thing isnt very heavy so it works well, post some pics of your make I would like to see the bronze frame, I think you have set me off now wanting bronze filament lol.

Gazza cheers I'll make another when my black pla arrives

hi I'm new to all this I've made a few lithophanes but they take like 12 hours to do on extra fine on 0.06mm and there smaller than your ones .what speed do you do yours on I'm doing one now and there is lines I can see .my print speed is 60 mm/s .
yours are cool..

Hi Coogie I print my litho's at 0.1 all the time and speed about 60 mm/s the same as you it takes about 11 to 12 hours to print the ones I have shown, Although Ive never actually timed them,
I know what you mean about some marks / hollows in some prints I get it on some to its maybe a slicing problem its something im going to look into, the prints shown in my things were done with anycubic white PLA and it really is the whitest filament ive seen and prints really smooth, the problem is anycubic have now chaned supplier to trigorilla filament and I'm not sure who manufactured the original filament, I use cura to create my litho's and set dark is higher 3.5mm thick and 0.8mm base.

thanks for the information .I made your litho box everything fits like a glove .only had white pla but could not get the led light working I cut a android usb cable
up and connected it to the leds did not work .got a we battery and connected them to it.nice box tho .thank you.

Hi Coogie thanks for posting your make it looks very good, I have just added a new STL to this project its another frame that is a little bit bigger and has some shape to it, print it curved side facing up and enable support touching the build plate, the support came off easily for me and the frame looks nicer than the original flat one.

Hello, was it printed at 120x90mm? I'm wondering if there needs to be any border at all to fit in the frame properly or just print the actual photo at 120x90? Thanks in advance :)

The 120 x 90 is what actually fits in the hole ive done litho's with no border and they fit fine but I do tend to use gimp now to add a black border around the picture which then comes out as a raised white frame around the picture / lithophane, in cura I always set it so darker is higher.

Hi Jeff it holds finished pictures / lithophanes that are 120mm by 90mm I use cura to make my litho's and it always seems to default to this size

Great, thanks for the quick reply Printing one for my Wife's birthday in March. I'll post a Make when complete. Thank you! -Jeff

Ok, so probably a dumb question, but what kind of filament do you use for these? I've never done a lithophane before but I really want to make on for my wife.

I print my lithophanes with white PLA this is just a box for them with leds and printed with black PLA
