Hey there! I went to print this out and realized the 5 was slightly a different size. I love this design. Anyway you can modify it for the 5 or maybe provide the set files so I can modify it myself? Thanks!

could you please upload the cad file(stp or f3d preferably). My printer is fairly precise when printing calibration prints but i have printed this 2x and neither set quite fits together. I would like to adjust the tolerances in the model as opposed to compensating with print settings.

This looks great! Can you make a front cover for the LCD that would fit? I have an Ender 5 and the metal LCD casing has metal bracket sticking out from the side to mount/ The LCD is the same though/

can this be used with the original ribbon cable or do i have to get the longer one for it to work?

The limiting factor is not the length of the cable but the hight of the plug as some generations of original cable came along with a higher plug.
But this you can check: Plug the cable into the display. The distance between board and upper part of the plug must not be longer than 15mm (see picture). Otherwise I suggest to order smaller plugs (example link below)

You should make a tft28 version

Would you mind posting the cad files so I can remix it? Preferably f3d.

It looks amazing, thank you! I would like to mount it on a Lack "hack" enclosure I am printing.

Have you considered the option of building it reversed so that it could be actually attached "under" a shelf?
It would take a serious redesign, that I understand: board/display flipped so to show fron the current back of the stand.

it will be more better if you make it can fit it with the printer with original screws ...
can you make it?

I'm not sure if I got your point.
To install it I removed the (original) 2 screws holding the display on the Ender frame. Then I put the LCD in the printed display holder. In my case it fitted on first try. It did not wiggle, so there was no need to use the screws again.
Could you perhaps specify your question? Then I'll do what ever I can.

Best regards

I appreciate your quick response
I mean in your design the stand it can be moved and maybe fall down, so i mean if you can support it with 2 screw to fit it with the printer
i hopee you can understand what i mean . mabye my english is litte bad...sorry

Now I understand, it would be more safe to fix the display stand to the printer back again.
Its indeed a very good idea. I was not thinking of this.

The original intention was to get the display movable (see picture). For this special reason I connected it via a 2m ribbon cable and made sure, that the center of gravity of the complete stand (incl. Display and cable) is within the bottom surface of the stand. Consequently it only falls over, when you hit it. ;-)

Though, I understand your idea and I like it.

To design a fixation I would need to remove the noise/vibration canceling feet I installed to the printer. Otherwise I won't be able to make proper measurements. As I'm happy with the movable version, I will not disassemble the printer right now to implement your idea, but the moment I do, I will let you know and discuss the different options (left/right side; in which part of the holder to put the screws and so on). I'm open for suggestions.

So to summarize: sorry, for now I won't design a connection between the printer and the stand, but once I'm about to do it, you will hear from me again.

Best regards

let me know as well. I really dig your design for aesthetics. Like Myshuker, I too would like to keep the lcd mounted in the original location.

thats great thanks again
