I wanted to do something different, but also bring the braces down further to add more rigidity to the vertical frame members to reduce wobble and give better printing results. The frame is much stiffer now, very happy with the results. I have since modified the design to refine the hole placement and looks as well.
Designed to be printed flat, holes are positioned to pull slightly upwards to help with stability.
The Anet I have is newer, the frame thickness is 7.62mm, you must confirm this or the bracket will not fit your machine. I have uploaded the Fusion 360 file if anyone wants to make their own adjustments.
The bracket is also sloped on the face for a reduction of the "bulkiness".
I hope this works as well for you as is has for me.
3D Hero ABS
I only print with ABS so I have used a brim and enclosure, however if you print with PLA you can make the appropriate adjustments for your material. Printed at 101% extrusion. 100 deg bed, 235 deg hot end.
