is this for the older ender 3 w/ the staggered wheels .. or the newer where they're straight across from each other?

It's for the newer version. If you take a look at the third image, you can see the template of the carriage plate (bed).

I ordered the parts to do this. Any recent updates?

Sorry for the late reply, I have no updates

What did you do for the Y end-stop? I only have one printer and I'm about ready to do this to it, so I need to make sure I have everything figured out first. As I can't print anything if I find a hitch part way through.

Sorry for the late reply. I ended up making my own endstop but I don't have the file anymore unfortunately, sorry. I screwed it directly to the aluminum extrusion

Ooooh, I'm right this second printing Bobblejot's version with the rail arriving tomorrow and you've got me wondering if I should just go for this right away.

How bad did the wobble get and I take it adjusting the wheels on the other side didn't fix it? Was it just the Creality wheels wearing out?

Did this completely eliminate all the wobble?

Did either Bobblejot's or your mod help in removing rippling on 3d prints across the Y axis?

Thanks in advance

BrewStew - The wobble was due to my experience with only having one MGN12 rail using this design (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3058382). It was never an issue using Marlin as I have only ever printed at 60mm/s max. But now that I'm using Klipper, my print speeds are a LOT faster and the bed would rattle quite a bit. I figured I set it up with 2 MGN12's for stability.

I'm still working on this at the moment but if you print Bobblejots version, you should be able to add another without changing anything and just adding another mount to the other side to replace the wheels.

Ah I see! Thanks for the info.
